There are many free campsites in Japan. If you will camp in Japan, in most cases you have to reserve and get permission for use the campsite.
The campsites is crowded on the weekend and holiday. So you should better to reserve the campsite beforehand.

The campsite is located on near the top of the Wakasugi-mountain.
Bare ground and covered with gravel.
In summer season and the weekend, many people have enjoyed camping in the campsite.
But there are few people in weekdays, so it is quiet.
The water of the facility is from the mountain, so need to boil.
It is available even in winter season.
The fireplace is made of the brick, and an old facility.
The grill is broken, but still usable. Many used charcoal is left in there.
A bonfire on the ground directly is prohibited.
It is a clean flush toilet. And an accessible toilet is available.
We can see the night view of Fukuoka city from the campsite.
It's so beautiful.
There is a observation gazebo, it is 10 minutes by car from the campsite.
It is famous night view spot. Because we can see the night view from our cars without leaving our car.
In the weekend, many people visit here.
There is a gazebo near the entrance of the campsite.
The view from the gazebo is so nice, so many people visit here to take a rest.
The campsite is wide grass land. There are almost no people camping here on weekdays.
We enjoyed the camp in winter. It was very cold day. so nobody was camping there.
We had heavy snows! I set up a wood burning stove in my tent, so It's very warm.
