There are many free campsites in Japan. If you will camp in Japan, in most cases you have to reserve and get permission for use the campsite.
The campsites is crowded on the weekend and holiday. So you should better to reserve the campsite beforehand.

The campsite is located at the east side of the river that is above the Norogawa dam. It is also north eastern area of Kure city.
The parking lot is at the opposite side of the river. It is quiet place because it is far from the urban area.
The tent site is not so wide, but it's quite deep. There are many shade trees, so it's cool.
The site is soft bare ground, and most of the site is flat but some places are gentle slope.
There is a simple concrete made sink.
It is open and old facility. The water from the faucet is tap water.
The tent site is in danger of a flood on a rainy day, so please be careful.
If it rains, please check a place of water intrusion forecast on the caution sign board.
It is a very clean flush toilet.
It seems that administrator keeps it clean well.
The mountain stream flow into Norokyo yasuragi dam-ko Lake.
It is a gently and very clean stream, so many fireflies be able to see in summer.
This park is a famous spot for viewing of fireflies.
There is a public square below the campsite.
Some people come to take a dog for a walk, and an unleashed big dog was there.
Please be careful with a unleashed dog.
If you across the bridge with your vehicle, It will be possible to go to the campsite side and bring your baggage easily.
The road near the entrance gate is wide, so you can park on the street.
But if you park for a long time, you might be ticketed for illegal parking.
