There are many free campsites in Japan. If you will camp in Japan, in most cases you have to reserve and get permission for use the campsite.

The campsites is crowded on the weekend and holiday. So you should better to reserve the campsite beforehand.

The campsite is located at the side of the mountain stream that flows through the Miyama-kyo gorge park. The park is 2.5km northeast from the center of Higashi hiroshima-city Kochi-cho.

The tent site is close to the river, but It is at the high place, so there is no danger of a flood even on a rainy day. There are many wide tent pads in the forest, it is cool in summer. The ground is soft soil and flat. And some tent pads have table and bench. The road in front of the campsite is busy traffic, so it is a little noisy.

The sink is made of concrete. And there were concrete-made foot stools so that little children can use the water facility.

The water from the faucet is well-water, but that seems it is suitable for human to drink.

Every day, an administraitor keeps it clean well.

The fireplace is made of brick and grills are available.

The restrooms is near the cooking facility. It is a very japanese house.

It is a clean flush toilet.

This park is famous for beautiful autumn leaves, so many people visit here in autumn.

There is a park with lawn square at the place that is 1 km below the campsite. But it is prohibited to set up a tent.

The road in front of the tent site is large traffic amount, so please be careful that children and dogs don't run out into the road.

There are many acorns, so children might enjoy to pick up acorns at the campsite.
