There are many free campsites in Japan. If you will camp in Japan, in most cases you have to reserve and get permission for use the campsite.
The campsites is crowded on the weekend and holiday. So you should better to reserve the campsite beforehand.

The campsite is located at the north suburbs of Hiroshima city. It is 300m below Azakita-ohashi bridge over the Ota-gawa River, and it is at the east side of the river.
The tent site is flat and bare ground. It is in the forest so it's cool. You can set up a tent beside your vehicle.
But there were many illegal dumping of trash and industrial waste.
It is become a popular spot for camping, because it is relatively close from the town of Hiroshima City.
It is small and simple water facility.
The concrete-made sink is small, but the side space of the sink is able to use as cooking tables.
It is a pit toilet. It is at the midpoint of the campsite.
This is a pit toilet too. It's near the entrance of the campsite.
Some sign boards have been put up. It says, "Illegal dumping of the refuse is a crime."
We have camped during the New Year's holiday.
The campsite is so close to Hiroshima city area, that many people visit here even midnight.
And many trash were discarded in the campsite.
Many garbage had been collected and removed, from campsite.
It has become much more cleaner than we used to be.
