Ikurahama shizen-koen campsite

There are many free campsites in Japan. If you will camp in Japan, in most cases you have to reserve and get permission for use the campsite.

The campsites is crowded on the weekend and holiday. So you should better to reserve the campsite beforehand.

The campsite is located at Ikurahama nature park at the east coast of Kawaminami-cho.

The playground that is near the administrator's house is suitable for setting up the tent. And the another place that is at the under the observation gazebo is also suitable for camping.

It is a noisy place because a railroad line and the station is near the campsite. But there are shade of trees and table and bench, so it's good.

The water facility is at the southwestern corner in the parking lot. The sink is made of brick and with foot washing place. The water from the faucet seems tap water.

The another water facility is near the gazebo in the parking lot, and one more facility is in the playground.

There is an old cooking facility in the forest. It is not available now. No water.

But another water facility is near there.

The restrooms are under the administrator's house.

It is a flush toilet.

The cold water shower facility is under the administrator's house too. It is available not only in summer.

The surfing center is made for surfers.

This house is used as a rest house. 1 hour 250 yen for 1 person, a.m. 8:30 - p.m. 10:00.

The hot shower is available in the surfing center. 5 minute 100 yen.

Usually nobody here, so if you want to use, you must go to Kawaminami Town Office and apply.

There is a rest place with tables and benches next to the shower place.

The view from the white observation gazebo is so beautiful, because it is at the high place. You can see the magnificent sight of Ikura beach.

It seems the sea turtles come here to lay their eggs on the beaches.

We visited to take a lunch.

Many people were having lunch or took a rest.

There used to be the blue-colored restrooms in the parking lot. But now the new water facility is at there.

The people with children were enjoying to play in the beach.

There are 3 gazebos in this park.

A drinks machine is at the side of the gazebo in the parking lot.
