Kurokuisan campsite

There are many free campsites in Japan. If you will camp in Japan, in most cases you have to reserve and get permission for use the campsite.

The campsites is crowded on the weekend and holiday. So you should better to reserve the campsite beforehand.

The campsite is located on the top of Kurokuisan mountain between Oita city and Usuki city. That is high altitude, so it's cool even in summer.

The ground is covered by lawn. Almost of the ground is flat, but some places are gentle slope.

There are small bungalows around the sites.

The reception is at Zentsuji temple.

The cooking facility is at the entrance of the path between first sites and second sites.

There are tables at the center, so useful.

The sink is made of concrete, and the water is well water, so need to boil.

There are concrete made fireplace, but many bundles of bamboo were piled up on there, so it was unavailable for use.

The fireplace is clean and has an iron grill.

The toilet is a simple flush toilet. It is very clean.

And it is the Western-style.

The bungalow is for 4 person and has 2 bunk beds. The indoors is comfort.
The wooden smell relaxed us.

The bed has no mat, so you need your camping mat.

The ceiling light is available, so it is bright in the night.

It is wonderful that accommodates visitors for free.

There are 2 observation deck. One of them is far from campsite.

And the other one is near the site. The view from here is very good. We can overlook the sight of Oita city area.

The night view is so beautiful too.

I could see the sea of clouds from the observation deck because I woke up early in the morning.

It was a chilly morning, but it was so beautiful.
