The campsites is crowded on the weekend and holiday. So you should better to reserve the campsite beforehand.

The campsite is located at the side of Kitayama-ko lake that is at the north area of Saga city Fuji-cho. That is at the north side of the peninsula that projects into the lake from southwest area. In the summer, It is cool, and in the autumn, the autumn leaves are beautiful, In the winter, we can enjoy the snow camping. It is possible to camp throughout the year.

There are many tent pads in the forest, those are the bare ground and the wooden duckboards. The bare ground tent pads are very wide so it is possible to set up a large tent.

Cooking facility

There are three large cooking facilities in the campsite. The sink is made of concrete, and the water from the faucet is well-water, so if you want to drink the water, you will have to boil.

But there is no cooking table, so it is inconvenient.

The light switch is in the box of a distribution board, so only the administrator can turn off. The light is left on lighting until next morning.

Fireplace

The fireplace are made of firebrick and concrete.

And grills and grilling nets are available. If you use the fireplace, you have not to leave with used charcoal.

Restrooms

It is a simple pit toilet. There are hand wash facilities for kids at the low position.

An accessible toilet is available.

Kitayama lake

The lake has complicated lakeline. There is 6 kilometers cycling road around Kitayama Lake.

The cycling road is near the tent site, so some people were taking a rest at the campsite.

Athletic playground equipment

We can enjoy outdoor exercise because there are athletic playground equipment and cycling road in the campsite.

(2017. July) Now, those facilities are broken, so it is prohibited to use to play.

Administrator's house

If you want to use this campsite, you'll have to reserve beforehand, and check in there.

The administrator always stays there in the daytime, if even it's snow day.

Tent pads

The tent site near the administrator's house is like a terraced fields. It has a restroom and cooking facility.

The wooden duckboards area is at the slope of the mountain, so if you want to use, you will have to go up a steep staircase.

When you camp there, you can bring your bagggage to the site with your vehicle, and after, you must return your vehicle to the parking lot. It is cool because there are shades of tall trees in the campsite.

In the winter early morning, the road will be frozen, so be careful for driving a car.

It is very fun to camp in the snow.

On the weekdays, there are few people at the campsite, so it is allowed to camp beside your vehicle. I recommend to camp on the weekday.

And I have camped near the cooking facility, so it was bright throughout the night.
