Mayu-yama campsite

There are many free campsites in Japan. If you will camp in Japan, in most cases you have to reserve and get permission for use the campsite.

The campsites is crowded on the weekend and holiday. So you should better to reserve the campsite beforehand.

The campsite is located at the seventh station of the Mayu-mountain. It's a fine view.

The road to the campsite is paved with asphalt and concrete, but the road is very rough and there are falling rocks.
Please be careful driving.

The campground is lawn area and flat. The wind is strong here. Some windbreak trees are there.

The cooking facility has high wall, so the wall is useful as windproof wall, if even windy and rainy day.

There is a stainless table in the center of the cooking facility. The sink is clean concrete sink.

The water of facility is well water. So if you drink the water, you need to boil.

There are 2 type fireplace made of the bricks. Wide or narrow one are available.

And the grills are 2 stage type, so it is very convenient.

The toilet is pit toilet.

There is a campfire circle in front of the cooking facility.

In the night, you can see a sky full of stars.

There is a gazebo at the southern corner in the campsite.

The scenery from the gazebo is very beautiful.

You can see the Unzen Fugendake-mountain from there when it is a clear day.

There are the bungalows in the campsite.

A night's lodging costs 2080 yen. It is cheap at the price in Japan.

The window frame is aluminum sash, so it is high airtightness.
The flies and mosquitoes cannot enter into the bungalow.

And be careful about the pit vipers and hornet around the campsite.
