The campsite is located near the top of Eboshigatake-Mountain that is at the north of Kumage area.
The tent site is in the cedar forest, so it is cool even in summer season. and quiet place.
The mountain road to the campsite is so rough, and there are many fallen rocks and fallen trees. Special care should be taken in driving in the night.
The cooking facility is made of concrete. The inside is very wide so it is comfortable even on rainy day.
But there was a thick fog at that time, so I got wet.
There is a concrete-made table in the center, it is usefull in cooking.
The water is not suitable for drinking, but not problem for washing tableware.
The ceiling light is brightly, so you can to relax at night.
The fireplace is made of fire-brick, and a grill is available.
It is a wide type, so you can make a big fire.
There were many firewood in the corner of the cooking facility.
The restroom is at the parking place.
It is a pit toilet, but relatively clean one.
The light is turned on at night automatically.
We were camping on the hard rainy day, so I was scared that branches might fall on our tent.
Next day, we had no damage as well.
The parking is close to the tent site, so in case of danger, you can take refuge to your car soon.
The observation deck of Akamatsugahira is 800m from the campsite.
The view from there is so nice that you can look out over Yashiro basin and Hikari city area and Tokuyama bay.
But we have been to there on rainy day, the fog was so dense that I couldn't see anything.
So I recomend visiting on a sunny day.
