There are many free campsites in Japan. If you will camp in Japan, in most cases you have to reserve and get permission for use the campsite.
The campsites is crowded on the weekend and holiday. So you should better to reserve the campsite beforehand.

The campsite is located at the north coast of the Takase lake that is at the northwest area of Shunan city.
The tent site is in the forest, and another site is at the open ground.
You can use a tent site which is in the forest or the open ground.
The water of the facility is well water. So if you drink the water, you need to boil.
The hand pump was broken now.
Fireplace is a simple type. And it is made of brick.
It is a clean Flush Toilet. And Accessible toilet is available.
An urinal for child is in the accessible toilet.
Many people had been enjoying to play in the river.
The river is not so deep.
The snow lies on the branches of the all cherry blossoms in the campsite, so snowy day is very beautiful.
Nobody is camping here in the off season. You will be able to enjoy slowly time.
There are many cherry blossoms around the campsite.
We enjoyed the Hanami.
That day was summer vacation, but campsite was not so crowded.
We were caught in a shower with thunder. I have a feeling that it has gotten cool after the rain.
The campsite is low altitude, but nearly 10cm of the snow built up on the ground.
We enjoyed playing in the snow.
The road is icy, so take care to drive.
And water of the facility doesn't come out in winter.
